In 1926, after the Buddhist Lent, Phra Ajaan Sao and Phra Ajaan Mun summoned his disciples to gather at Ban Sam Phong Forest Dwelling in Ban Non Daeng. They set the norm regarding staying in the forest, establishing an academy, and teaching meditation practices for his followers to put into practice in like manner.
In 1927, Phra Ajaan Mun brought along monks and novices to Ban Bor Cha-Neng to discuss a plan to walk to the town of Ubon Ratchathani to promulgate Buddhism. Phra Ajaan Mun was invited to Wat Rong Tham Samakkhi by Buddhist folks in San Kamphaeng District who had great reverence for him. Phra Ajaan Mun traveled there alone and stayed at this temple for about twenty days. The temple was later dwelled by Phra Ajaan Khoo Dhammadhinno and Phra Ajaan Kwa Sumano.
