“15 – minute meditation for world peace in all areas nationwide and worldwide to honor in Commemoration of the 150th Anniversary of the Birth of Venerable Phra Ajaan Mun Bhuridatta”

                   The Department of Religious Affairs, Ministry of Culture in collaboration with governmental agencies, Buddhist organizations, temples, and all of sectors organized  “15 – minute meditation for world peace in all areas nationwide and worldwide to honor in Commemoration of the 150th  Anniversary of the Birth of Venerable Phra Ajaan Mun Bhuridatta” on Monday 20 January B.E. 2563 from 18.15 hrs. to 18.30 hrs. in all areas nationwide and worldwide to promote meditation practice among children, youth, and ordinary people and allow them to attain and practice teaching principle from of Venerable Phra Acharn Mun Bhuritdatta Thera in their daily lives. Moreover, this can create a tendency of practicing meditation accessed by all walks of life. For that reason, practicing meditation creates inner peace which can develop to social, national, regional, and global peace for global community.

                   In Bangkok, the 15 – minute meditation activity was held at Wat Dhammamongkol as the central, presided over by Phra Dhammongkolyarn (Luangphor Viriyang Sirintharo), the abbot of Wat Dhammamongkol, and Mr. Kitsayapong Siri, Permanent Secretary for Culture. Furthermore, the activities were held in several spots namely Wat Pathum Wanaram, Wat Boromniwat, Wat Phutthabucha, Wat Nai Rong, Dhammasatarn Luang Wiset Sakornrit, Siriraj Hospital as well as temples, Dhamma retreat, and departments of Willpower Institute.   As well as in 76 provinces and foreign countries which are England, Canada, United States, and Australia.
